Does anyone have or heard of any box turtles that tear toads apart and eat them? Mine do it and I was just wandering if that was normal.

I found a HUGE male Eastern Box Turtle eating a shrew several years ago. When I found him he had blood smeared all over his head and face from sticking his head inside the body cavity to reach the viscera. This guy was an absolute behemoth and to date is the only Boxie that I have ever caught that was aggressive. He would willingly bite when picked up and put on quite a defensive display.
I often regret not adding him to my breeding stock simply because of his sheer size.
