NC snake law limiting to 4??

I have had a few peaple tell me theres a new law here in North carlinia, I was told that now you can only keep 4 snakes unless you have a permet. if this is true how do I get the permit?

i have no idea a/b the law,but if you find something,let me know.....i'm in greensboro and am breaking the law if so!

People are supposed to apply for a nongame collecting permit if their reptile collection exceeds 4 or more native reptiles. Reptiles that are not native do not apply. It is a 5 dollar permit and has to be renewed once a year. It is good through January to December 31. You may find the applications under the NCWRC web page Also this is supposed to cover transporting them. I guess it helps the resource commission have a small idea of what people are collecting.
