Hey, finaly, a question that I can answer. Yes they are, most of the time at least. Just like in Vipera berus, the malke is much lighter in colour than the female. The males tend to be a lighter gray with a very dark zig-zag pattern, that contrasts powerfuly with the background. Females tend to have a darker brown or redish background and a darker brown, redish zig-zag pattern which is not so in contrast with the background. Also, if your snakes are adults you can easily identify them by there with. Even though males get a little longer than females they are much sliner in shape. If you got a long and relativly thin snake it`s a male. If you got a short and stumpy one, realy fat I mean it`s a female. And you almost can never tell if the females are pregnant because they are always fat. If you got some pics of your snakes send them to me and I`ll be glad to take a shot in sexing them. Hope I was of some help. Take care
