Look at Coastalreptiles.com. There is a good list of state requirements there. If nothing else you can get the number of the wildlife authorities there.

A class II wildlife permit is required to keep native pit viper species (including subspecies of native pit vipers that are not native). Species must be proven to have come from a source OUTSIDE the state of MO or from a SANCTIONED breeder within the state. The permit was $250 annually last time I checked. There is NO permit required for non-native venomous even though some local Barney Fife may tell you that. As for county, city and township ordinances....check and double check directly with the proper agencies.
