There are mixed stories about doing that. I have about 10 of them and each one has its own cage. Biggest advantage to this is, you can tell exactly what snake is doing what. If a problem does arise you don't have to spend time finding out which snake it is. But then again this goes for all snakes. Also some of my corns look identical in color and pattern; having them seperated, this allows me to know which is the male and which is the female. I have read and experienced that corns (but im sure this is with all snakes; I have only breed corns) some of them become very aggressive during breeding season. You cannot go wrong keeping them seperate!

There are accounts, although rare, of corns being cannibalistic. This mainly occurs within the first few months after hatching. I would house them separately except for breeding season.

I have kept all kinds of rat snakes and i have never had a problem. I think the key is feed them one heck of alot. They would eat another one if the don't get fed it is more a last resort. One of my friends have kept two black rat, two grey rat, and 3 corn snakes in this huge incloser and they never had a problem. I would say if you have babies bad idea. But if you give them space and feed them well you should never have a problem.
G'day,
Phillip
