Hi there Im a grad student in the UK studying for a Master of Science in heritage and museum studies. For my dissertation Im studying a Roman farmstead on the South Downs in Hampshire. Ive just found out that the piece of downland is home to the vipera berus the Adder the UKs only vemomious snake. What advice would people give me regarding working in this environment regarding avolding disturbing it (inadvertantly)if I come across it. The only snake expert that I know of is Brady Barr if anyone has his email address that would also be appreciated.
Many thanks

Hi, I`m from Romania. We also have adders here and I`ve worked with them quite a lot in the past 4 years. My advice to you would be to stay calm. The adders are close to harmless if not stepped on or picked up. If you want more info write me on Bitis_arietans_arietans@hotmail.com
Regards, Alex S.
