I used to live in GA, I'd say your best chances are to drive around to the ones that seem less traveled, and start your hunt there, I've spotted cotton's in suburban areas all the time ( I used to work construction NE of atlanta thru Athens area) spring really is the best time to locate em, their jsut coming out of hibernation, and are still "groggy" from sleeping all winter, they tend to wander farther out at that time.... Sorry, I don't know any specific roads, but THEY ARE out there, everywhere, you just "have to think like a snake, and where youd be if you were one"... going on a canoe trip is another great way to locate em too. come at em from both sides!

Any creek out Swamp road has a cottonmouth or 3 in it. You can road cruise a night and find them crossing the road or shine in the creeks and find them laying there. This year we have found 60 something in the area around Swamp road.
