Have lots of mice handy since, like most elapids, they have a very high metabolism and eat/crap/eat/crap/eat/crap continuously. The actual cage setup is pretty basic. A good setup is to have a hidebox with sliding door to trap the snake inside, inside of a long cage with a sliding divider to keep the snake on one side while you clean the other. Make sure you have a nice long snake hook. Midwest gentle giant tongs are useful for larger snake but make sure to put high friction felt or something similar on the inside gripping surface since in the shipped form it doesn't grip smooth elapid scales very well.
Cheers
Bryan
