I just got a Red Diamondback rattlesnake. I have had Western Diamondbacks before. I would like to know what temperatures this snake prefers in captivity. I can't find much in the way of care sheets on this snake.

I've had several of these. The care and maintenance doesn't differ considerably from atrox, oreganus or most other rattlesnakes. A well designed cage should have a good temperature gradient including a heat lamp basking spot and a nice cool, dark hidebox. The snakes are usually pretty competent at sorting it out for them selves from there. ;-)
