i have a wildcaught cottonmouth and he has a few of these orangish red bumps between some scales. i assume its a parasite, its not the kind of mites ive seen, my guess is some kind of tick. how can it be treated? i treated him with mite/tick spray today. will this be sufficient, or do i need to pluck them?

Sounds like ticks. Vapona pest strips or dusting with 5% Sevin dust should work.
