I caught one a couple weeks ago and it hasn't ate yet. Are they good eater when they start eating or won't they start when you get them from the wild.

I'm by no means an expert, experienced would be a better word.A little more information would be helpful.Size ? sex? Locallity? If it's a breeding age female it may be gravid which could explain why it refuses to eat. Housing and temperature also could be a factor.

Hi:
Had one that took weeks... then out of the blue sped across the cage and nailed the mouse...was dead before it hid the cage bottom...was a good eater there after.
It just takes time...weeks on occassion. Try feeding at night. Be as quiet as possible. If the snake is housed in a high traffic area or is constantly disturbed may delay the process. Cover the front to the cage too.
