Do they make an antivenin out of snake venom? I thought they used to but it seems like it's made of horse serum now.

Barefoot -antivenin is made from snake venom in short increasing amounts of venom are injected into a host usually horses but sheep and now chickens are being used the horses are rested for 3 months then about 8 pints of blood are taken white blood cells containing the nescessary antibodies are separated and processed into antivenene- horse serum mearly refers to the host, nescessary because when you hear of people being alergic to antivene it usually means they are allergic to horse serum -regards
