I can't really speak to the definite facts of your question but I can lay out some contributing data.
I know that diabetics don't heal as well as "normal" people. I know that diabetics are not supposed to get piercings or tattoos because of this reduced ability to heal. I know that often diabetics have problems with their circulatory systems which means that fingers and toes and feet are at greater risk for damage and secondary infection.
I learned all of this the hard way - a loved one was diagnosed as diabetic.
All of that said, I believe that you probably could survive a bite provided you got swift, competent medical attention. BUT, you might suffer more permanent damage than if you weren't diabetic.
Maybe Chris Harper will stop by and lend his medical expertise on this but he has been very busy lately. Any medical folk around?

If you are in good condistion other than the diabetis. If you are in your 20's or 30's. I would think there would be less the risk of it fatal. You might loss a couple of fingers or toes like Karl was saying.
