this site as information about the care and i m sure about the venom of the mangrove snakes. also i read a book a long time ago in a libary by chris mattison about snakes and the care it featured mangrove snakes.
there are sevaral sub species of mangrove snakes some of which still need to be looked at more closley by scientist. obviously large snakes can inflict painfull bites and envenomation of humans with marked clinical effects have been made. because they have a very primitve dilevery system the effects arn t nearly as bad as rattlesnakes and what ever else other peaple keep.
this might help .

Do not under estimate the toxicity of this species! New research is being done and some preliminary studies have found that some sub-species ARE QUITE TOXIC!
