This should give you some more info.
What's more dangerous, the reptile or the location?

i m familier with the genus glydius there are about 10 species in the genus though they may need to be studied more glydius hayls lives in china, iran, russia, kazakhstan.afghanistan, mongolia, turkmenistan, and live on rocky mountin slopes , there are 9 subspecies from what i know. there would nt be much on the net about this species there never is these days.
i don t have a computer when i come onto this site its on a libary computer to which i only have limited time on , so when i come onto the site i don t have long to answear people back , if i can anyway.
for refrence i think you could by snakes of iran or snakes of mongolia . if this helps.
thanks
shaun.

These were recently moved out of the Agkistrodon genus if I remember right. (But don't hold me to my memory)
As far as there being information on the internet, I would suspect there is a wealth of info out there depending on what it is you are looking for. I don't suspect it is a widely kept species as I don't see many of them about.

It`s the only european pit viper and it lives in Rusia and Ukraine. It was knowened as Agkistrodon halys up untill recently. It`s small -50-60cm. It feeds on lizards, frogs and small rodents. That`s all I know for sure. Hope this helps.
