Hi, can anyone give me a good website on central american and south american snakes. Venomous and non. I plan to get a job when I turn 18(in april 05), and save up some money to go. Probably Costa Rica. Any information will be appreciated..........Also if anyone here has been to central or south america, I would love to hear your story. Thank You.

websites are nt very good theres not enough info on them if i was going to central america i would take a field guide , depending on where you go , theres loads of books on reptiles and amphibians of costa rica , reptiles and amphibians of the maya world , reptiles and amphibians of the yucatan penninsula, amphibians of hondurus , reptiles and amphibians of nicaraugua ( in german though ) lizards of brazil, snakes of venezuela, turtles of venezeula, and a book that has just come out in english language reptiles of central america, expensive book though. there are other books about south america but they are writtin in german or spanish. such as reptiles and amphibians of peru.
these are the many books i ve read and heard of concerning central american and south american herps. there might be a website if you look around a bit on google. but i don t expect it to be a brilliant website.
hope this helps you .
shaun.
