This weekend i'm going down to our hunting club in wilkes county Ga for Bow season. I'm planning on doing some herping while i'm their mostly for coppers, and canebreaks. My question to you is this year our property was clear cut and now the property is pretty much open with alot of large bruch piles and a small forest border by a swamp. Because the property is basically completly differnt i'm not quite sure where to look.
Also do you think i'll have better a better chance of finding some or worse?
Thanks,
Brandon

the snakes will be around the brush piles, if its cool out in the mornings they will be sunning at the edge of the piles when it first warms up.

I myself have had more luck herping round old brush piles anyway ....even if a area has been clear cut snakes seem to make good use of old log & limb piles ...so if the days are sutable i would say its perfect......good luck hope you find the mother load............have a safe hunting trip also......happy herping.
