Hi, I have a wc eastern diamondback. It is about 2 feet in length. Ive had it for almost 3 weeks and it still want eat. I try to feed it small feeder mice that are white. What can I do to get it to eat??? I dont want to force feed it. Should I try gerbils?

Gerbils may be a good bet. Be sure that the snake has a good hiding area to feel secure. These animals take a while to settle in. You might also try a fresh killed rodent on tongs and tap the snake on the nose until he puts a good bite on it. This will many times trigger a feed response. But, sometimes patience is a virtue with wild caught rattlers.I wouldn't get too awfully concerned yet.

From what I`ve heard they aren`t good feeders, especialy wild caught animals over 3 feet. 3 weeks isn`t that much. I had a Nose Horned Viper that wouldn`t eat for 2 months after I caught it so I wouldn`t start worrying yet. Hope it feeds soon. Good luck.

I would bet if you give it 1 more week then toss in a hamster, it will eat it. They seem to love hamsters, even the WC edb. They take those over just about anything that I have tried. What's up Alex? how's it going young fella.
