I'm in Wilmington, NC and would love to go on a snake hunt-w-an experienced person or get details on how I can increase my luck while hunting. I don't have tongs but I have a long hook and good judgement regarding the dangers envolved.

I suppose there is no great number of snake lovers in the area but if you hear of a group getting together for a scouting trip let me know. Otherwise, on those occasions when you yourself go, what do you look for as likely hiding spots this time of year?

I hate for my first post to start off on the wrong foot on this website, but Im driven to say this......maybe Im on crack, but as far as I know, it's illegal to catch pygmy's in North Carolina. They are a protected species. So, now that you've admitted to picking up at least 2, I'd watch every step you take.......Fish and Game could be just around the next corner........
