I have a collection of snake books, few concerning venomous snakes,n Ive read in some books and seen on snake shows that some times when a venomous snakes bite, sometimes they deliver a dry bite meaning (they dnt deliver venom all the time). How true is this?Because I was unfortunate to have been bitten twice by a cottonmouth on two different occasions. Is there any truth to this dry bite theory or was I just very lucky.Cause when i went to the hospital afterwards on both occasions,I was told that no venom had been deliver, but there was some swelling and bruising, but little scaring. But luckly no real or permanent damage was done. Was those bites just warnings or did I just get very lucky?

I was trying to find information to see which snakes dry bite and which inject venom every time. I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for but I came across this guy who became immune to snake venom by injecting himself with it so thought I would share it...
