Hi all, I'm new here. I stumbled onto this site about 3 weeks ago. I don't keep hots or snakes, actually I have quite a healthy fear of them. Fear in the sense that they tend to see me before I see them and they scare the crap out of me when they take off when I'm out walking, hunting or fishing.
Anyway, to the point of this topic. I've visited this site everyday now for the past three weeks. I must say that I am extrememly impressed w/ the professionalism and seriousness that everyone has for such a dangerous and "bizarre"(spelling?) hobby. Bizarre is in quotes because I have some hobbies that other people don't understand. However, I respect the choices you all have made to keep venomous snakes.
This has been a great source of information for me. I have no intention of ever keeping snakes, but I read Alan's 101 and all the articles. I guess I just liked to be informed if I am going to be venturing into Copperhead, Timber Rattlesnake and ocassionally water mocassin territory. Sorry I don't know the scientific names.
I also wanted to say that even though it is a hobby for a lot of you, it is important and this site is important to help educate the public.
Keep up the good and SAFE work.

Hi and thanks. I haven't even looked at all of the forums on the site in a while because we intend to replace them. The format is so different from what everyone is used to apparently. Sometime in Feb we should change the forums.
