Come on Ryan, don't die on me brother. Just picked up some Levaquin, can you give me exp. on this(i.e. doses etc.). Any luck(don't ask me where I got it). Just try'in to keep things go'in bro. Tim

Hopefully, we will be changing the forum format in the near future. I think that may spice things up a little. I have been involved (for the most part) with other areas of the site. I will work on this in 2001.

Hey Tim,
Sorry about the late reply, havent been doing the internet thing a lot lately, but Im easiing my way back into the electronically connected world.
If by Levaquin, you are refering to levamisole (we dont use it much), I can only tell you what Ive got in books, as we rarely if ever use it, and dont really keep it on hand. It is another broad spectrum anthelmintic with especially good action on Lungworms (which incidentally can be pretty chronic in a lot of African stuff - Bitis, Varanus, etc.). It is pretty safe with a fairly broad therapeutic range and no specific contraindications. Dosage is 5mg/kg given sub q, and repeated in 2 weeks.
