I found some snake skin right by where those skinks are. I would say to a Black Rat snake. I was wondering where he might be now and if he would be revisiting this sight.

Hi S,
He might. That spot is certainly part of his territory. But it is unlikely that the skink is attracting him - Black Rats (Elaph o. obsoleta) are not known as herp-eaters. I kept one, years ago, that once ate a fence swift, but I think that this was an aberition. I've never seen nor heard of it since. But I've never since tried to keep lizards with one, either.
Where there's one Black Rat, there will be more. They have very large litters. Incidently, an neonate looks nothing like the adult.
luck,
f

Hi again,
I do a fair amount of reptile rescue and rehab, and the odd lizard comes along now and then. I've recently found a home for a 4' Nile Monitor. And, I'll usually take in an Iguana or two each year. The only lizard I'm keeping is a Savanna Monitor. He's my garbage can and is fed whatever one of the snakes might refuse. He was near dead from neglect when I got him and a nasty biter. He's an interesting animal, now reasonably docile, but not one that I'd seek out. I'm not really all that into lizards, although I like them well enough.
On the other hand, a long-time dream of mine is to keep Gilas. Doubt if I ever will, though.
luck,
f
