Where can one obtain Pancur? Is it the same as the dog/cat worming medication you can buy off the shelves at Walmart? Can you use that for deworming a snake? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Panacur is also known as Febendazole.
It is effective against nematodes, and according to Melissa Kaplan, the recommended dosage is 50-100 mg/kg by mouth once, repeated in 2 weeks. (Check that with your veterinarian.)
I obtain Panacur from horse feed stores as a paste wormer. You have to calculate the amount of paste the amount of water to dilute it with based on the weight of the snake and the concentration of the paste.
It has been shown to be quite a safe drug compared to some of the other wormers out there.
I have found the easiest way to dilute it is to set the stop-ring on the paste tube to a point that is easy to dispense, put the correct amount of water into a baby food jar, squirt the paste in, cap the jar, then shake like H E double hockeysticks.
If you need help in calculating the dosage shoot me an email at swampy@bellsouth.net but I must reiterate, I'm not a veterinarian and you should always talk to a vet if you are unsure about any medication.
Febendazole is often paired with Metronidazole (Flagyl) when treating reptiles depending on what animal and what parasite you are treating.
Hope this helps,
