I have recently acquired a wild caught Eastern Coral. I have kept many of wild caught snakes and have always done pretty good about getting them to feed. This little guy(24")doesn't seem to be interested in anything that I've offered him. So far I've tried Anoles, a Garter Snake, a Corn Snake, a Glass Lizard and even sardines(someone told me to try them) to no avail. I would very much appreciate any info. that anyone could provide. Thanks. Robert

He might just be shutting down for the winter. You can either assist him or clill him out (give him a couple of weeks to be sure the gut is clear).
The one and only E. Coral I kept was a good feeder, but showed a marked preference for skinks. Hunting them very got old very fast, and I realeased the snake after only a couple of months.
luck,

Thanks for the help filthy but one more question. How should I go about cooling him? I've cooled my boas before but never any native species.

i recently kept a very stubborn young easern coral who was very specific in his feeding. the only animals that i was able to get him to feed upon were eastern ground skinks and dekays or easern brown (not aussie) snakes Storia dekayi. she too to the brown snakes best and would actively hunt them, also try to feed near dusk or at night when they are most active. hope it helps,
