Hi...
I just have some questions about hibetnating some Crotalus spieces.
In my collection, Iīve got 4 Crotalus atrox, 2 Crotalus ruber ruber, 3 Crotalus scutulatus salvini and 5 Crotalus vegrandis.
When should I start hibernating my snakes, in wich temperature and for how long time?

Well, as far as atrox and ruber, the best thing would be to check an area such as San Diego county. Rubers are going into hibernation now, but if its not cool enough they may lounge around the dens for a few more weeks. Atrox will be the same way. In Texas or at least south Texas they are still active. Temps for them both just to put them under would be mid 50s. The salvani and vegrandis do not hibernate in thier natural area. Both Argentina and Verecruz stay quite worm through out the year. I hope this helps. Bret
