Start mid March look around stumpholes in the burned longleaf pine flats. Georgia. You can find them around gopher tortise burrows, tin piles, abandoned farm buildings, and stumpholes early spring late Feb through April. Florida. look around Tin piles Rotten palmeto logs and tortise burrows From late January through March on 55+ degree days.
