Clayton,
Did you get your clucker in SoCal or did you buy it back here on the East and ride it out? Looks like a low rider...
I didn't go to the Hamburg show, even though I wanted to, trying to save up for a new bike...got my eye on a new fat boy, or perhaps a buddy of mine has a biker build off bike with a stellar S&S 113. I might need velcro on the seat and my rear to hold on.
How's the searching for Crotalus out there?
Matt

Hi Matt,
You know, I got that motorcycle from my dad. It's an 84 FXRS low glide. That's the bike that came out before the lowrider. It's also the first year they put the Evolution motor in a Harley. So, it's pretty special to me. In 2003 I bought a 2003 Electraglide because my wife wanted something a little more comfortable to ride on on long trips. Nice bike but the FXR will always be pretty special to me for family reasons. I had to beg, borrow and steal for that bike. Didn't have much money at the time. Good luck on getting a new bike. I think you will like whatever you get. Email me at work. I'll give you some pointers on buying used if that is what you want to do.

Thanks bud...will do. This bike my buddy has really ain't all the used...it's a total rebuild from an 03 softail...the only thing I'm not too keen on is the beach bars...but oh well.
How does the wife like your hobby...snakes that is? My GF doesn't like 'em, but she knows that what Matt wants, Matt gets :-)
My GF is heading down to New Orleans for a girls weekend in the middle of April, so I'm figuring it's a road trip weekend for me, so I'll definitely get something prior to that.
Best of luck,
Matt

Matt, I'll go ahead and tell you that Becky does not like my hobby. I guess she doesn't have the same appreciation that we do for these very cool animals. I'm sorry, I didn't answer one of your questions, The FXR is a Georgia bike. On the Electraglide, I went down to Harley and financed it and it's pretty easy to do that. If you're not totally sold on the custom Softail, check Harley on a new one. You might not have the same headaches with a new one that you would with a used one. I never thought I would want a new scooter but I was wrong. I love the new one because it has warranty. Check it out before you buy anything. Good luck. Email me at work. I'd like to here more from ya.
