What is the legal state of rattlesnake roundups in the southeast? Do they have a limited number of snakes they can catch? Because every year I look at photos and there are hundreds upon hundreds of rattlesnakes in the big holding tanks or should i say small holding tanks considering how many there are in them. I can see why some people would do things to stop the roundups, even if it meant human life.

This Anonymous Clown wants to take human life to stop rattler roundups??? Look, South Ga is full of dumb red-necks who do the roundup thing, but that is slowly changing. Folks who were told as kids to hate snakes kept that idea into adulthood. But young kids dont have to repeat their parents mistakes. Look at the Wild Rooster Roundup In S. GA. this month! It is an improvement. If you educate the kids when they are young, they are not gonna grow up thinking snakes are bad. Many of these towns would welcome Educational Displays about reptiles from the SHHS. Its not gonna help having some nutcase out there shooting snake catchers, or even suggesting it, even if the snakes are going to a round up!

WHY IS IT ALWAYS REDNECKS!!!!!!!!! Why cant it just be dumb people instead of dumb rednecks! I AM a redneck and so are all of my friends. We love snakes and wouldnt dare harm them in any way. So are we dumb too?

Kyle,
The majority of people know of that kills snakes are rednecks. There is nothing wrong with it but the majority of people who seek and destroy snakes are rednecks. They are the people who are the leaders and the particapaters in rattlesnake roundups. They don't understand that snakes play a big part in the ecosystem.

Well, we as a community need to shun the coined term "dumb rednecks." I do not like this term, and the majority of us are from the south anyways. So, i prefer the word Gay. For example, Kyle is a gay redneck. See, it sounds so much better than dumb.
