Awesome, Maybe alot of people can get their Kings switched over to this product. I bet the crocodilians love it too. I wonder if it will be hard to get a snake to accept it?

I am kind of thinking the same as Al. The sausage snake chow is almost all beef heart, and a few vitimins thrown in for fun. Very little fiber. A mouse or rat has lots of fiber in its fur and skin and bones. Kind of reminds me of the biologist at Fernbank Science Center who killed a great albino garter snake that I raised from a baby, after I left there, by feeding it chuncks of frozen fish filet, because it was convienent, and he didnt want to get his hands dirty. When I cared for the snake, I would catch earth worms, minnows, etc to feed it whole animal foods. Soon after I left, it was fed only fish filets, almost 100% pure protien, and it died soon after. I dont think the atkins diet works on herps.
I am also suspicious of anything that Dick Van Patten indorces, as he is a noted PITA person.JohnZ

Nothing I'll be using. Why? Why switch from something natural when you don't have to.

Doug: The only thing bad about a natural reptile diet is thawing frozen mice in the microwave, LOL.! Sure makes the morning coffee taste funny! JohnZ

Hey guys, what if people start eating theese sauseges and we`ll end up with escaped gabbyes and king cobras entering our homes and steeeling our sausages ? This realy concerns me...:)))))))
Now, honestly do you realy like the ideea of feeding your snakes sauseges ? I prefer mice any time. Just my thoughts. Take care y`all.

I would not mind the sausage things if they were really whole food. Like ground up mice, fur, bones, guts, and all. The beef heart thing is not good enough, as it is lacking a lot.
It is hard to find good sources of mice where I live these days, and I do not want to set up a breeder colony of mice again, as they are a lot of trouble.

JohnZ...
I think snakes need that roughege to keep them health. I can't see feeding Bitis this stuff since they retain feces, reason not known to me but must be a physiological reason. It might kill them long term, although I would not miss HUGE piles of Bitis POOP.
