Do your snakes have favorite locations for defecation?
It seems each of my snakes have a "special" location for defecation that they use repeatedly. They're generally in MY least favorite spot because it's requires more than just scooping it up. For instance: On flat rocks, Silk plants, and on heat rocks. Sometimes they feel sorry for me and just place it nicely on the substrate.
Cheers!

Many of my specimens seem to enjoy crapping out their water bowls.

I have one female king snake that I keep in a sweater box rack, and she actually puts her cloaca up to the top lip of the sweater box and craps out thru the little 1/16th inch air space I have.
This appears to be the best "house cleaning" behavior I have ever seen. Half slides down the inside of the sweater box though, so I usually only get the ureates outside the container. Good thing I waterproofed the MDF before I built it.

I had an iguana that used to love to crap on his hot rock about an hour after i would leave for school. Imagine the smell of iguana poo cooking for several hours?? Not a plesent smell to come home to.

Just think about all those fresh mountain streams people drink from and how many snakes in the area come down to the water just to relieve themselves. My pitvipers are notorious for crappin in the water as well.
