Sounds to me like you are the type of people who need "hard" learning experiences. Otherwise, without them you would surely die. I will be sure to look for your name in the obituaries. lol "tailing snakes is stupid" - Robert 2005 - Fact: It hurts the snake. How would you like it if I picked you up by your nuts? hmm? Something to think about. -Again me 2005-

Happy birthday Jeremy.
I think it is great that you had the guts to admit your mistake on here. I'm glad the snake did not actually bite you. I'm also glad to hear you are taking a conservationist attidute towards your site.
I have learned from my mistakes too, and I don't want every young herper to have to learn things the hard way.
I'm sure you can 'grow up' to be a great herpetologist. Now that you're 18, are you looking around for schools? That's one of the most fun things to do when you are getting ready to start a career.
Take care,
Jim

Happy Birthday Jermey. Oh when I was 18 I was in the Marines. went to bootcamp 48 hrs after graduating High school. I didnt mean to come down on you Jermey, you seem to be a good kid and enjoy what you do in life and that is reptiles like the rest of us. I have seen alot of young people die in my line of work, and trust me, it makes you appreciate it even more. Hope you have a good one. Bryan

Thanks everyone. For my birthday I went to see a Fantomas concert at the 40 Watt Club in Athens. Fantomas is Mike Patton from Faith no More, Dave Lombardo from Slayer, Buzz Osborne from the Melvins, and Trevor Dunn from Mr.Bungle/Trio Convulsant, and alot of other bands. They are one of my favorite bands. Convulsant and The Locust also played. I was right up against the state and I got to stand withing 2 feet of the Mike Patton. Everyone was jumping around and I got pinned against the stage. After the show I got to take my picture with Buzz Osborne and Trevor Dunn. I also talked to the drummer from Convulsant for about 5 minutes and we were laughing at some drunk guy that was telling us a story. We didnt get home until after 5 in the morning. Cool.

Hey John, I know you are from England so I have to tell you this. I was down in Cocoa Beach, Fl visiting family 2 years ago. I went to a bar called Paddy Cassidys, an Irish Pub. Well, come to find out, all the guys in there at the time were from a British sub crew that docked to get torpedos. I guess they got liberty and I drank Guiness with those guys all night. I cant remember the name of the sub. Anyways, my point is this, those were the most mannered men I have ever met in a branch of the military. I was in the Marines, and yes we were rough. But these guys were very polite and curtious. My cousins were with me, and they are all women, and those squids were very mannerly to them as well. Just a difference I noticed in us "Colonist" compared to other countries military. Have a good one, Bryan.
