Why if some hot snakes bite himself or each other then nothing happens to it where if other hot snakes bite himself or each other they die of their own venom?

I've never heard of them actually dying from their own venom. However, if a fang were to penetrate a vital area, i.e., the spinal cord, the heart, lungs etc. The snake could surely die from self inflicted injuries.
