I have a friend who has these snakes under her porch. She said they give off the aroma of cucumbers. I need to know how to get rid of them.

Well actually that is a long time myth that copperheads give off the aroma of cucumbers. And to some it may smell like that, but the only aroma they would be giving off is a musk that snakes sometimes secrete from their anal scale, but they usually only do this when they feel threatened. As for getting rid of them, I recommend finding someone that can handle venomous snakes and having them relocate as many as possible. This is the safest thing for the snakes and for you. I am curious what city in Texas do you live?

I'm sorry, I don't know exactly what I was thinking, asking what city in Texas you were from. I meant what state are you from. Broadbanded copperheads do inhabit texas though.
