venomous snakes in CA

I know northern CA has the Northern Pacific rattlesnake, but I'm wondering if we have other venomous snakes?? I live in the valley east of San Francisco and sometimes see snakes while hiking. Thanks!

The only dangerously venomous snakes in Northern Ca. are the Northern Pacific rattlesnake and (in the extreme northern part of the state) the Great Basin rattlesnake...Southern Ca. has 5 other types of rattlesnakes (the sidewinder, speckled, western diamondback, Southern Pacific and Red Diamond rattlesnakes....
