A couple of weeks ago, I posted an ad here to sell an extra set of the Lowell Ackerman ``Health Care of Reptiles``, Volumes 1,2,3. I stated US and Canada only.
I recieved an Email from a Mark Fowel who said he would purchase the books, and was sending a money order. Well, its been 2 weeks and still no money order has arrived, although he has sent several Emails saying it is on the way. He eventually sent a shipping address, for a Fred Morgan, in the Republic of Benin, Nigeria !
Perhaps this Mark and Fred just did not understand what US and Canada only meant?
Anyway, I am relisting the books, in the classified adds below, as I am not about to accept a money order from Nigeria! And I am not about to ship the books there!
If this Mark Fowel or Fred Morgan contacts you about something you have listed here, I would sure be cautious about doing business with them.
Happy New Year to all of the Legitimite People who use this web site! JohnZ

Hey, the money order arrived today! Complete with a cute postage stamp with a picture of a monkey sitting on a tree limb from the Republique Du Benin!
They have it made out for $2,000.00, and, of course, they want me to ship the books, and refund the difference back to them, and keep a couple of hundred dollars for my trouble, LOL !
It looks like they printed the money order on a home computer!
What is bad, is if I were dumb enough to deposit the money order, the nit-wits at Sun Trust would probably accept it! Then it would bounce in a couple of weeks.
I guess there are a lot of people dumb enough to fall for stuff like this, or else, the Nigerians would not continue using this scam.
I wonder why they have targeted this web site? Perhaps it is because of the free classifieds adds?
Anyway, be carefull out there!
Happy New Year to all the Legitimite People Who Sell Items Here, and a Curse Upon All The Creeps and Scam Artists out there who try to prey upon innocent people!
Best Regards JohnZ
