I was curios if anyone out there has a annulated water corba and would like to compare notes. Is yours a strict a fish eater, and is it as gentle as mine? By far my favorite snake and can't believe someone didn't snatch him from Diamond Reptiles, who in my opinion is the best reptile dealer out there . JQ

Hey there CM! Hows it going? I still owe ya a reply via email and will do so soon.
As for the water Cobras, they are not too well known from private collections. I buddy of mine had one which ended up dieing and I know the fabled Kurt Johnson works with them but besides that, I have never seen them anywhere else. I know they must be around there somewhere but whoever keeps em hardly ever chimes in.
As for their feeding habbits, from what my freind told me, his would only eat fish. That definately seem to be their main food source. I imagine though that one could get them switched on too rodent with senting. Ive seen pics of some that were way over 6ft long and there is no doubt those animals were hammering rats.
Welp, not too much usefull info but it was fun chatting about them!
One last note, I have heard that they are very laid back as well. Just dont get tagged!!!! Those snakes are close to being as potent as Oxyuranus(Taipans)and I belive are way hotter then any true Naja!!!
Take care man.
All the best,
Jeremy

I had a friend that had water cobras a few years back and his were on scented rats...so thats a definate possibility but don't get fooled into thinking that they are completely laid back because he got tagged by his when he let his guard down, but fortunatly when it hit him the one fang caught him on the thumbnail and didnt go through, the other fang didnt make contact, and the underside of his thumb was alittle torn up from the bottom teeth but he had no symptoms...very very lucky!!!! Stay Alert and safe...and let us know how things go.
