I am looking for information on experiences keeping and breeding H.h.charlesbogerti or alvarezi
all kind of information to start a breeding club in Guatemala will be highly appreciate, we are a very small group of beaded entusiasts who need a very good excuse to get together and start a captive reproduction program for our animals, most people have their animals as pets and not for commercial reasons, good quality breeding info may promote the will to start breeding this very rare animals.
All info will be share with the specimen owners only or as required. Before I can invite them I need to make sure we will have a technological background good enought to create interest in assist to a reunion.

Rene: Most of the breeding information on Heloderma has been published in past issues of the JOURNAL OF HERPETOLOGY, which is published by the SOCIETY FOR THE STUDY OF AMPHIBIANS AND REPTILES.
If you have access to an University Library, they might have back issues of this Journal. If they do, check the Index for articles.
Also, go to Google Scholar at
http://scholar.google.com/
and search under terms like Heloderma, Heloderma breeding, Heloderma horridum, and Mexican Beaded Lizard. You should get several hundred hits, which you will have to search through, but the information you want will be there.

Unfortunately in Guatemala there is no access for such publications anywhere, I have search the web and the available information is very limited, donated copies of this articles will be used to start a library on the subject if they can be mailed to

You might try contacting the reptile keepers at the San Diego Zoo.
I know that they have hatched out H. h. charlesbogerti this year.
