I would also agree with Terry that in general vegrandis are wired hot, like most of the neo-tropicals, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone who hasn't worked with a lot of different rattlesnakes, but I also have an exception - a very mellow and sedate female I raised from a tiny neonate. She is highly alert and active at feeding time though. They grow rather quickly too, without being pushed.
