Hi guys its been quite a long time since I have posted a question, however I have recently re-homed three corn snakes all of which are femal. One was fit and I quarantined her for 2 weeks and she was fine ,I put here with my male and they did copulate she is now eatin everyting in sight, One of the other females i got a little later I thought was gravid but she is just grossly overweight, and the last girl of the trio is the real problem she has a bulge about half an inch long that starts at her cloaca but runs along her side making her tail apear flattened and her cloaca has a small amount of discherge/scabbing she is feeding but it seems to be annoying her, I am treating her currently with anti biotics and tamodine for the apparent wound around her cloaca, I have seen this before in a corn snake of which she is and the guy said that it was a lard deposit but didnt give any info on how to sort it out ant help will be gratefully rercived, she is a 3.5 foot adult corn snake, shge is a little thin to, regards keyz.

I do not know how the first reply to the posted question even got started, but come on, you could not have read his question and then still believed it was about himself and not a corn snake! This is crackpot! Are you reading before you insult someone?

Thanks paul, seems that a simple mistake followed ny a question which obviously clarifies the issue can be to hard to grasp, perhaps she/ he may eventually post something in there defence, not that there is much to say, have a laugh by all means but atleast make the post useful and try to answer the real question beckyjane. ps i live near stonehenge thres nuffin wrong with hippies and i would sincerly love to see you try and tell them they "suck" re your email addy.

At first I wanted to stay away from this thread.
It was obvious that Kieron has asked a legitimate question, and wanted help with his corn snakes.
And in answer to that, Kieron, keep using the topical antibiotics. It is possible that there is a infected fatty deposit, but it could be some sort of other infection in the cloacal tissues. You might want to give oral antibiotics also in the food or water of the snake, as the infection could be more wide spread than the local tissues.
When I read the response form BeckyJane98, well I am thinking it might be just in fun, sort of a joke. Perhaps it was a European thing, as Keys and BeckyJane are both from Europe. So I left it alone to see what kind of follow ups we would see, and to see if the system administrators would pull it.
If the reply was in fun, then hopefully BeckyJane will say so. And hopefully she will let Kieron know that she meant no harm. He is rightly sensitive to attacks, as there were many in the past. Hopefully, No harm, No foul.... There is nothing to suggest from BeckyJane`s two previous posts that she is a troll or was intentionally attacking Kieron. Could be it was just in fun, as her profile says she is an MD and OBGYN, and that type of humor sounds like something some of my medical frineds would joke about.
What does sort of nag at me though are the old posts by Spongebobnopants and LingLing, who were banned from the site. Many of their posts were personal attacks on Kieron and other Europeans. I am hoping that this is not what we are seeing again, with personal attacks starting under another name. Hopefully, it is not time for Chris to fire up the grill, and stick a fork in another one, LOL.
BeckyJane, if you read this, please let us know if you were just joking, as your two previous posts show you to be a legitimate reptile keeper looking for a site to visit. I sure hope that is what this is.
Just a couple of thoughts on this topic.

I see your point and as it wasnt a personnal attack but a prank i certainly dont mind it serves as a warning to people who want to use this site to mess around, please see the other post Chris also, mThanx for acnowledging my problem and thanks to becky jane for rectifying no pun intended the situation, thanks keyz..
