Differences between Naja

I was wondering about the differences between Naja Kaouthia and Naja Kaouthia Suphaniensis. I was told that the suphan is maybe a subspecies of some sort and was wondering if this is true.

There is no difference other then the color. They are geneticly the same snakes.
The phase may be prominate in a certin local, maybe an island but I aslo be;ive they are documented finding normal pahse and Suphan pahse exsisting in the same local.
Check Wolfgang Wuster's site for more detailed info.
As of right now they are just a phase of kaouthia.
