I am wanting to get a Puff Adder someday. I live in North Carolina and there obviously isn't any anti-venom around here. So what would I do incase of a bite, would I have to purchase my own.

My Puff Adder is the most dangerous snake I keep out of 50 or more specimens from around the world. Yes, it's a very good idea to keep your own serum handy for what specimens you keep. SAVP Polyvalent is not very expensive, ~$100/vial and I would keep 10 vials handy. This will at least get you started if bitten.
