I just read the article. I am shocked, God bless him and his family at this tragic time. I did not think anything could stop him. When he filmed here in Florida at Silver Springs for his alligator episode, he slept for a couple hours and was ready to go. He spent the whole day in the water and no one could keep up with him. Steve, we will never forget you.

conservation has definitely lost one of its biggest friends. He was an absolute trip to watch but he always taught you something. if it was nothing more than to love wildlife. Truely shall he be missed.

I truly hate to hear this, my Heart Felt Thoughts go out to Terry and the Children.
Steve done a lot for Reptile Conservation and I think we all agree that this is a very Tragic Loss. My sympathy also goes out to those that work at Australia Zoo, keep up the good work.
Steve, you will be missed.

This is a very sad day, But when I think of him and his life, I think WOW that man really lived. While it may have been cut short,The things that he has seen and done are far greater than most will do in a 80 year life time. He has experianced this world to the fullest From one end, to the other. We all are in debt to him for his work. My prayers are with the family and zoo. God Bless you Steve.

A very sad day. Steve has done more for conservation and awareness for wildlife and their habitats than anyone. He is a legend. He will never be forgotten and his documentaries and movies will continue to inspire and boost awareness for years to come. His knowledge will continue to be handed down through generations.
