OK Here is the email I just received:
The Jacksonville Herpetological Society Link to our on line petition failed last week. We've finally been able to reload the petition online however, we've lost all the signatures that were gathered. If you believe as we do, and had signed the petition or would like to please return to www.jaxherp.org and click on the link for the petition or go directly to http://reptiles.petitiontime.com/

PLEASE please go resign it. Deadline is September 13, 2006. I don't know why the site went down and was devastated. But hopefully with everyones help we can get back all the signatures that were lost. Again it doesn't matter what state you live in. This is a worthy cause.

consider it done, i was one of the first in line to sign it when it was originally put on the site- i think that there was a problem with the url and so none of the signatures went through in the first place

Yes, something happened to the page on the website and it is back up again. The deadline for signatures is September 13, 2006 : we have just two days left.
Thanks to all who can sign. Remember, just because this is trying to pass in Florida, does not mean it will not affect you in another state.
Where do you think the majority of the reptiles in this country come from? The ports of Florida.

i'm confused is this janine, beth or paul? it is signed by all three.
btw, i have also sent it to about 20 people and asked them to send it on to their friends, i hope this works out well

Hey guys, sorry, Janine sent it to us from the Jax Herp Society to forward around. My wife Beth posted it the first time here and then I had commented again. So it is from the three of us together. Thanks to everyone who signed the petition. ALL of us in Florida greatly appreciate your help.
