“So that’s what they mean by Asking For It”
Al: There have been many times, that I have seen Photos of Keepers trying to give you a good vew of a Snake. But, what they don’t realize is that by trying to put the Snake in the Limelight, they also put their selves in the Firing Line.
My motto is, Safety First, Look Good Second “LOL”, but the Look Good part is Iffy by a Long Shot.

The ad alone would be enough for me to not want to purchase that snake! Sheesh, idiots abound and the total lack of handling skills makes my point in the other thread above. Hopefully, they'll get this ad off the site; makes us all look like a bunch of yahoos.

Rob: It’s like you said, we will Kill ourselves off. Sometimes it makes me wonder, if our Community will ever find even ground and put our efforts into coming up with a good reliable method of Policing this Hobby. Ever since I have been a Member of this Site, it seems that the “Bickering” and total lake of “Working Together” are just getting worst.
The way I see it, we only have one choice in making this Hobby stay and that is by finding some even ground, and coming up with a Steady Control Method to insure that Idiots like the one in this Picture don’t have these Animals. But, I don’t see how we could do it without coming to even ground amongst ourselves.

There must be some national governing body that oversees critical areas such as: rules/regulations, responsibility and ethics, accreditation/permitting process, mentoring/education, PR/Marketing and much more. I've recommended for years that we look at how the field of falconry does things. They formed a national coalition/organization whereby there is a very stringent, self policing method in place to weed out the bad seeds while ensuring that they are in good graces with the various government entities. They were able to save their hobby and even in municipalities that ban the keeping of any "wild" animal, including raptors, they have had countless ordinances revised or overturned. The key is having a unified voice and that's what falconers have done so well. I personally would find some of the top folks from the sport of falconry involved in helping to recommend a strategy for the venomous community.

The photo of the dangerous handling practaces has been removed two times now, by two different site managers.
Perhaps this Joel2006 fellow will eventually read this thread and realise why it was taken down.
Anybody want to bet if he will put it back up again?
Best Regards JohnZ
