Forgive me if this is worn out topic, but I have never read if WDB can be temporarily placed in crowded containers temporarily while gathering, or can they injure each other, and should always be separately bagged...thanks

Barry, it is always good practace to keep fresh caught venomous snakes seperate from one another.
In an aggitated state of being captured, they are quite likely to bite each other.
They usually have immunity from the venom of the bite, but there is the possibility that the long fangs of a Western Diamond-Backed Rattlesnake could pierce a heart, liver, brain, spine, or lung of another snake, and do mechanical damage that would prove to be fatal.
Sometimes, you just have to take a chance and put snakes together in one container, but it is always somewhat risky.
Best Regards JohnZ

Well, remember, they do often den together over the winter, sometimes in large numbers. But the point about placing them together when they are agitated is valid.

Thanks, I will not be unprepared this August, ordered a remote control spotlight only last week, thinking of hiring a photographer, I run out of hands real quick trying to do it all by myself, aside the fact that it is not safe!
