Jeremy, you might want to consider changing your profile. You seem to have left out your Granite Burmese Python, Formosa Cobra, Moroccan Cobra, Amazon Tree Boa, and normal Burmese Python.
I find it sort of strange that someone who claims to be a Dr., and who claims to be keeping Sea Snakes, Taipans, Mambas, and dozens of other very dangerous snakes, would be posting photos of common snakes on the web.

Gosh, why dont you post some photos of your Unpredictable Malaysian Kraits?
You are not going to impress anyone here with a made up profile listing snakes you are supposedly keeping, or claiming to be a Dr. and research scientist.
Folks here will not respond to the wanted adds you post in the classifieds.
All you are going to accomplish is having everyone here view you as a Troll, and getting yourself banned from this site.

thing i dont understand is that those are my pictures i have taken of my snakes so jeremy how do you own them and if anyone wants to see my photobucket link you can see those exact pics and that burmese python2 is a 15 foot 100 pound male i had he died about 8 months or so ago.
so if you are saying those are yours jeremy to prove you own some hots please take them down. if you didnt claim them as yours im sorry i said anything but i was not sure if that is what you were doing so instead of not saying anything and letting someone send ya some venomous snakes i thought i would try and clear it up.

"are people this stupid? Or are some of these dealers actually seeing that with money signs in their eyes?"
I'm thinking no. It's a way for people to not post any info about themselves, but still have a contact from dealers. Regardless of what anyone that posts thinks, there are alot of sandbaggers that will sell him that snake. Just because there are a few in here that won't answer a post or classified because their profile is blank doesn't mean there isn't a dozen sending him an e-mail privately. Sad but true.
If you don't believe me, give it a try. Money talks.

First of all, in some cases, I can probably understand. When a new person who is looking to buy/sell something stumbles across this site and sees the free want ads, they probably just sign up and post the ad. They may never bother to read the forums.
So... While it would seem to make sense that they would expect a better response if they didn't leave everything blank...we can probably discuss it on the forums until w're blue in the face and it won't matter, because new people won't see it until AFTER they've posted and someone gripes to them.
Maybe a notice on the sign up screen would help... Maybe not...
As for Mr. Moore, maybe he should have used a different name on yahoo answers.

Yikes! I was just about to post an ad for venomous reptiles. So new members shouldn't post wanted ads for venomous? Explain to me.

Well Jeremy, it really should not be that difficult to understand. All you have done is create a new Log In Name, but you are still you.
It is really kind of unfortunate, because you clearly have some interest in venomous animals, as can be seen from your Lost Boys site, but it is not proper for you to go around borrowing other folks photos from the web, and not giving credit, or creating fake background experiences for yourself about you being a research herpetologist or an Dr.
So, if you do try to post adds here, people will all still know it is you. And they will not respond to you. And the site managers will take down your adds. If you wish to place adds that you want to purchase dangerous reptiles, that you clearly have no business keeping, you should take your adds somewhere else.
You will probably get yourself banned permanantly from this site.
Is that what you want? That is the direction you are heading. So, you can be upfront here, and you just might learn something here, or you can play internet games and not have to worry about ever visiting here again. Your Choise. I hope you make the right one.
Why dont you think about that some, and then decide if you want to be honest. It could make the difference in participating in a site, and being banned forever from it.
Hope this helps. JohnZ

Well Gerald, I would hope you are someone different from Jermey Moore. He has just posted an apology for a fake profile, and has stated he will change it.
You do live in the same town that he lists in his profile, and you do speak about an interest in many of the same animalsm and you share a similar name.
The best thing you can do is to fill out your profile completly, so people can get a chance to know who you are.
As far as posting adds in the Classified, no one has said anything about young site members not posting. What they have said is that wanted adds for dangerous reptiles are looked over strongly, and people often also compare the add with the profile of who posted it.
So, if you intend to post adds for dangerous reptiles, you should have a complete profile, and be posting for animals that are legal to have in your state. If you are not being straight about who you are, it will quickly become apparent to everyone.
Hope this helps. JohnZ
