I have been doing some reading about this Location, sounds very interesting. Do any of you know if the General Public would be allowed to Walk this Snake Road, wiles the Snake Migration is in Progress? I had thought about my Wife and I taking a Trip to see this place one Year. If any of you have any information on Rules and Regulations for this Site, please way in, or if anyone knows a Good Website that would have the Info I need.
I have been hearing about this place in Illinois for the past 10 Years and just had to finally ask.

Here's the first thing I found. It probably answeres most of your questions. (although it's an old article, so it's POSSIBLE things could have changed.)

I make the trek down there every spring and fall...one of my favorite all time herping spots. Snake Road is indeed open to the public (to walk on) and if you hit it right, you can see lots of herps...but only for observing and taking pics. Don't attempt to collect anything; DNR folks will nail you (and deservedly so).
