I know where an old felled house is.. Lots of tin and junk, I found a big piece of roofing rubber burried under some boards, when I pulled it back WaLa!!! A Worm Snake!!! A first for me! Cute little guy/girl? I put it in a 10 gal tank with some dirt, it went strait to burrowing!! I hope to get it in pics and on film for the school.. neat little critters, I know not Venomous but still just as important in our ecosystem, and another rep I can teach my children about. Thought I would share my joy of my new finding with you all.. Thanks for reading

That one might be one you only want to keep short term. Probably difficult to get food for, but give it a shot.

Check this out,my mother found 5 in her garden and my little 5 year old girl wanted to show me so she took one home and put it in her little herp cage.I get home and tell her all about the harmless worm snake and how they don't bite.We went to let it go and it reared up like a little racer and flattened it's head!I couldn't believe my eyes, when I went to touch it to see what it would do ,it lunged, but no biting!Cutest damn thing I ever saw.I've seen hundreds of worm snakes and NEVER HAS ONE REARED UP LIKE THAT!Cool huh!Just thought I'd share that

mine does the same, and when I hold it it trys to stab/bite me, but how can something the size of a nightcrawler bite? It is really funny, they eat worms, so we will see?! If I can not get it to eat, then it will find a home in my wifes garden (lots of worms there) .... Shawn

Actually, these are relatively easy to keep. Just buy a bucket of worms, dump it in some loose soil, and BAM. Perfect worm snake habitat. Just keep it moist and restock the worms periodically and you'll be fine.
