Hi ya’ll, I know it is not Venomous but, I just caught a (Lampropeltis calligaster) Mole Kingsnake today (by the way, it is my first one "COOL SNAKE") and am wanting to know if there are any special needs this Species has? She is about 2ft. Long and is well mannered, she was caught crossing the road on an Old Back Wood Swamp near my home.
If anyone has any good Care Info I could use, I would be very grateful.
Thanks ya’ll
PS: As soon as I can, I will post a Picture of this Beautiful Girl.

Wally, Mole Kings usually do quite well in captivity.
The usually feed on mice quite readily.
In the wild, they spend much of their lives underground in the rotted out root channels of trees, especially pine trees, thus the name "Mole." In the wild they probably catch and eat moles, voles, shrews, and field mice that use the same underground pathways.
They are often found in the very early mornings just before sunup, especially after a night of heavy rains, or even during heavy rains.
Hope this helps.
Best Regards JohnZ

You should take to heart that these are escape artists par excellance. I had one that escaped, I found it again about O.3 miles from my house after a year being gone and guess what---its out again.
